ANNIE CRAWFORD c1800-1872
David and his wife Annie Crawford were both born in Ireland. Judging by ages of the children in the 1851 census of St Giles Township, Lotbiniere County, Quebec, they had settled there c1830.
The 1851 census states David is a farmer, and an Anglican in religion. They had a large family, all of them moving to Mountain Grove, Ontario (Olden Township, Frontenac County) by 1861; still listed as a farmer, and Anglican.
Children -Joshua and David and their families stayed in the Mountain Grove (Olden Township) and Arden (Kennebec Township) area. Their descendants can still be found there. Jane married William Canning and moved to Belleville, Ontario. Margaret married Caleb Laidley and moved to North Dakota 1874-1880. George married Elizabeth Madill and moved to Kansas c1869. No record of Thomas after 1881 census.
David and Annie’s last child, Mary 1846-1932 is my great grandmother. She married Thomas Cox 1847-1913 son of Thomas Cox and Jane Sharpley in Tamworth, Ontario in 1874.
