I know that I am several years late but saw a post re history of various families from Cantley, Quebec - my name is Debbie Holmes and my ancestors / great great grandparents were William Holmes and Catherine Timlin O'Boyle Holmes. I know that I am also related to Maloney's and Murphy's. Great great great grandparents Margaret Henighan Holmes and Daniel Holmes. I know Daniel died enroute to Canada and from what I can find was buried in Quebec City. Also that Catherine (Ketty) first husband and possibly twin sons also died enroute to Canada.
