ROYAL SHAW b. 1771 or 1772, son of JONATHAN SHAW (b. 1750) m. Sabrina Richardson, moved from Claremont, Cheshire Co., NH USA to Shipton, PQ with his father's family in 1809. Royal's son HAFFORD DENNIS SHAW b. 3/26/1797 Claremont NH m. Lucy Burbank, dau. of Benjamin Burbank, of Compton, PQ and settled in Danville PQ. His son, LYMAN PHILANDER SHAW b. 7/20/1825 (where?)and m. ADALINE WASHBURN SHAW, daughter of HIRAM SHAW and Mahala Washburn of Glover VT USA. Adaline and Lyman are said not to be related. They settled on a farm in Illinois. Query: Any information on Canadian Shaw residents and why they moved there -- Loyalists? Decades-long search for ancestors of HIRAM SHAW.
