Thank you so much for your reply. Since I posted my original message in 2007, I have found out where my Corcorans and Markeys came from in Ireland. Nine Corcoran brothers and sisters settled in and around Rawdon in the early 1800s. Most of their descendents migrated throughout Canada and the US in the mid-1800s. I have found 10 distant cousins and we share information that we find.

I am still amazed at the kindness of fellow researchers like you who have taken the time to find information on my family. One person found my Grandfather's WWI draft card. I never knew him because he died at a very young age. I now know that he had grey eyes!

Nicole

CORCORAN/MARKEY - St-Alphonse-Rodriguez

I am looking for information on Patrick Corcoran and Mary Markey who married in St-Alphonse-Rodriguez supposedly on February 20, 1860. I don't know if they were born in Quebec or Ireland. Their daughter, Mary Ann Corcoran (14 August 1863), was my Great Grandmother. She married Arthur Fleury on November 11, 1890 in St-Ambroise-de-Kildare.

I know that Patrick's parents were John Corcoran and Catherine McDonald. I have found a couple with the same names from Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny, Ireland, but they were married 29 August 1847 - if the dates are correct, they might not be the right couple.

Any help that you can give me will be most appreciated!

My e-mail is cully@videotron.ca.

Nicole

Kehoe/Keho family in Rawdon, Que

I recently discovered that a branch of my family tree has significant roots in Rawdon. My gggrandfather, James Kehoe (b. 1845) had two brothers Frank (b. 1848) and Henry, all born and raised in Rawdon. James and Frank moved to Saginaw, Michigan in 1870, while Henry stayed behind. I have no information on Henry, but have lots on James and Frank (which I'm very willing to share).

Any information or suggestions of resources would be most appreciated!

Thanks,

Sarah
