Desfosses, is not another name for lampron---it is a distinct
line of Lamprons started by Claude Lampron/LaCharite
from Maskonge, PQ and Niclolet, PQ and a Native Canadian
(indian) lady named Anne Guertin, his second marriage.
I am directly in his line from his first wife, Margarerite Foucoult (?). St. Louis is another name for Lampron as
is Lamberts (from Lambert Lampron who went to Maine
and his line became known as Lamberts (pronounce Lam
bear). Lampro's or lamproe are another line which started
when a Lampron moved to the Springfield Mass area and
the locals misspelled his name because he prounounced
it in French which is Lam PRO. And of course LaCharite
is what Jean (John) Laspron was known as while a member
of the "Regiment", it carried over into civilian life and he and
his immediate family was recorded as Laspron/LaCharite
so all LaCharites ARE Lamprons....My great Grandfather
is recorded in St. Elie as Lampohron, my grandfather is
recorded as Lampron in the same church. In my research
have not come across Leprohon in any Lampron cross references or directly..Where is this to be found???
