Chamberlain family - early 1800's, Russelltown

Classification: Query
Surnames: Chamberlain, Abbott, Stearns
Amasa Chamberlain (1772-1861) and family, originally from Strafford, VT, settled in Russelltown between 1811-1824 (he is in the Hinchinbrooke Statistical Report). By 1840, Amasa was in Franklin County, NY, where he died.

His daughter Plumy (Mrs. John) Abbott lived in Franklin and his daughter Hannah (Mrs. William) Stearns lived in Hinchinbrooke. The rest of his children either moved to Clinton/Franklin counties or I have not been able to trace.

I am trying to establish a connection between Roxana Chamberlain Hoyt (b. 1820 - CAN) and Amasa. I believe she was Amasa's orphaned granddaughter -- perhaps the daughter of his son George (b. 1799 - VT) -- and that she was perhaps born in Russelltown. She married Nathaniel Hoyt and settled in Ellenburg, Clinton Co., NY in 1835.

Any leads or advice, no matter how insignificant, would be very much appreciated in helping me solve this frustrating puzzle.

Thanks in advance,
