In the 1901 Canadian Census there are farms listed as being on "Rang Williamstown" in St-Patrice-De-Sherrington, yet present-day maps do not have any streets or roads with this name.
In the 1901 Census, “Rang Williamstown” seems to be near Rang St. Francois (which still exists today) since the entries listed as being on Rang Williamstown are surrounded by other entries for Rang St. Francois.
Does anyone know if Rang Williamstown was later renamed to something else, or perhaps disappeared completely (e.g. turned into farm land), or where I could find a map from the 1901 era? (I’ve searched the on-line map collection for the Quebec Archives, without success).
Any help that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
