Guillaume Brayer dit St-Pierre arrived in Cumberland, Ontario between 1852 and 1854. He was born between 1821 and wed Angle Brazeau daughter of Toussaint Brazeau and Angelique Ouellet on 31 January 1843 in the Saint-Clement de Beauharnois, Montreal, Quebec. Guillaume was the son of Guillaume Brayer dit St-Pierre and Marie-Anne Jamme who where married in 1820 in Sainte-Genevieve-de-Pierrefonds, Montreal, Quebec. His Great-grandfather was Pierre Brayer dit St-Pierre from Saint-Servan, Saint-Malo, Bretagne, France. Pierre married Francoise Thibault in 1739 in Pointe Claire, Montreal, Quebec.
Guillaume and Angele Brazeau owned land on the 4th Concession, lot no. 2 in Cumberland, Ontario. In the 1861 Census, Guillaume had 10 children. Angele had a sister named Priscille Brazeau who was married to Felix DAoust, son of Joseph Daoust and Elizabeth Lalonde in Beauharnois, Quebec in 1841. Angele also had a brother named Andre Brazeau who had married Sophie Morin in Beauharnois in 1841.
