Here are a couple of lists of epidemics and when they occurred. I don't see anything for the 1892-94, however.

This site shows that there was an influenza & pneumonia epidemic in Massachusetts that was fairly severe in 1891-94, although nothing compared to the levels it hit in 1918-19 (Spanish Flu).
