My ANDREWS connection is just north in Megantic County. My g-grandfather George F. ANDREWS was bron 2 July 1853 at Inverness, d. 7 Aug 1913 Charleston, VT. Moved to Vermont at age 21, circa 1874. Married in 1879 to Avis Lorea BROWN.
His father was Charles Lazarus ANDREWS b. 1827 in Sussex England moved to Canada when a young man or child, lived Inverness Township (Megantic County) d. 1890 Charleston, VT. Married Sarah SLATER (SLATTER?) who was b. 1821 in County Down, Ireland. d. 1885. Sarah Came to Canada c 1839. She married 1st to a FERGUSON and two children, Phoebe and Lizzie.
I don't know if Charles ANDREWS and Sarah SLATER had any other children except for George. Perhaps there is a connection with your Lydia.
