NORTH BATTLEFORD CEMETERY/RCAF

My great uncle was killed during a flying mission in December 1944. Some years ago my mother visited his grave, the first of his family from Australia to do so. When she got there there were fresh flowers on his grave, no other grave in the cemetery had flowers. He was 19 when killed but she thought there may have been a child born to him. This is just a guess on her part, but the flowers are a mystery. Can anyone help with suggestions. His details are below.

Name: CASSIDY, MAXWELL HAROLD
Nationality: Australian
Rank: Leading Aircraftman
Number: 431689
Service: RAAF
Unit: 13 Service Flg Trg School RCAF
Regiment: Royal Australian Air Force
Age: 19
Date of Death: 04/12/1944
Cause of Death: Accidental
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: Plan M. Block 11. Grave 2.
Cemetery: NORTH BATTLEFORD CEMETERY

Thanks, Janet
