I am trying to help and 85 year old woman research her Morrisseau and Godin family history. The Morrisseau family were servants of the Hudson Bay Company. Antoine Morrisseau, born 1772 Parish of Detroit, married Charolette. He was known to be in the NWT when son, Joseph, was born in 1801. Some of the family settled in Manitoba, some in Northwestern Ontario. One of the descendants, Mary daughter of Michel, married a Joseph Norbert Godin in Rat Portage(Kenora) in 1881. Looking for information on ancestors/descendants of Antoine. Thanks
