Conducting family research on my father's family from Prelate, SK. The Lohrer family homesteaded in Saskatchewan from 1910 - 1954. My Great - Grandmother was Regina Lohrer who originally came from Bremen, Germany, farmed in Simferopol Russia (now in the Ukraine) and arrived in Canada in 1910. She arrived in Kronau, SK. and Homesteaded around the Rastad, SK. area. Her children were Peter, Fred, Joe Schneider, Katrina Herman nee Scheider and Adolf Lohrer - my Grandfather, and Bertha Eckstein.

Adolf Lohrer met Alida Dieno at the Leader or Sceptre Hotels, where she worked in the Restaurant. The couple married and had 10 children on their Homestead near Prelate, SK. Their children were; Adolf, Ida, Bill, Jakob, Bertha, Lydia, Helen, Albert, Anne, and Alexander. My father and his siblings all attended MacKenzie School near Prelate from 1920 thru to 1940's.
Hoping that someone has more information about the area where to look for more information and remembers the family.
