Surnames: Legeard, Lagimodiere
Do you have any information on the Legeard family? I am looking for details on Pierre Marie Legeard, who married Adelaide Lafleur about 1891. I cannot find any information on his parents. Family lore suggests that the former family name was changed to Legeard – possible from the surname Lagimodiere – because their priest could not pronounce it. I know there was a Father Legeard in Ile a la Crosse, but I cannot find details on any other Legeards nor can I find anything on a Pierre Marie Lagimodiere. Any help would be appreciated.
