Thanks for that information, it seems that we are connected. I tried for several years to find out why Charles and his family seemed to disappear from Canada. There was a fire and he got burned just after Ivy was born (I wasn't aware of her existence until quite recently).

Charles was quite a pioneer to have sailed away from his family in 1903. He was actually the only surviving triplet, and had siblings that were twins. His sister, my great-grandmother Rose had 2 sets of twins herself.

I have a photo of Charles wife Ada standing next to Rose. Do you have any photos of Charles or his children?

What brought them to California? From what I understand, the colony they were supposed to live in had some problems.
