Hello Anita, I recently found a photo at the Anchorage Archives online that was of a few boys lined up in Skagway. These boys worked as "newsies" or newspaper boys. One boy, about 14 (photo from 1898) was listed as Bill Forest. There is no record of any family named Forest in Skagway at that time ( I have a list of 5800 people from that time up to about 1930) Is it possible he is the boy you mentioned?
