Classification: Query
Surnames: Forrest, Carver, Lorenzo
Yukon Territory, Dawson in 1890 to 1918.
I have a person I need to find her date of death and I think she may have died there or in Yukon Territory in Dawson. after Sept 1906 and before 1910
Jesse FORREST went up to his cabin at Forty Mile a few times from Seattle via Skagway. Then when the family went to Dawson he went with a brother in law Mr. Charles O. CARVER and a few other relatives at other times before 1915. I have the dates of entry on a few of his trips. The women were not listed so I can't go by that as to if the person I am looking for (Mary Jane FORREST) went or not.
Mary Jane's husband Jesse W. FORREST had a cabin near the border of YT in AK at Forty Mile. I understand there were several Forty Miles in AK but it is the one across the border from Dawson. I have pictures of him at the cabin and the bear (on the wall of the cabin) that almost got him. But I have no idea if Mary Jane ever went to the cabin.
I know their son L. L. Lorenzo did at 17 years old IN 1900. I do not know if she went on any of the trips to Dawson but Jesse was there or at the cabin at Forty Mile. It is times like this I wish I paid more attention to mother's stories. She most likely was dead before 1910 as she is not in the Census with Jesse in Seattle.
I would also like directory pages for the FORRESTS
there between 1915 and 1918. Evelina FORREST had a small candy and ice cream business in her home.
Are there any researchers who have access to Dawson and any of the records? I appreciate any hints, Anita
