Surnames: Loya, Peinado, Portillo, Caballero
Loya family- Cipriano Loya married to Elena Hernandez. Children- Concepcion (Peinado), Elena (Caballero), Guadalupe(Portillo), Simon, Son #2(name unknown), Paolita (also Caballero, married to Elena's husband after she died). My great-grandmother, Conception was born in 1871 in Sonora, Mexico. Married Jose Maria Peinado in 1887, in Estades Carretas, Chihuahua , Mexico. They lived in Chihuahua, Mexico in the town of Estades Carretas, in the district of Iturvede or Eurvedo. They had 16 children but only 13 survived. All were born in Chihuahua except the youngest daughter, who was born is Las Cruces, NM.
Jose Maria Peinado was born in 1863, in Durango City, Mexico to Dionicia Parral and Fanasio Peinado. Jose Maria held a position in the law office as Judge of Letters. The family left Mexico in 1913 because of Panco Villa. He was given a letter of recommendation from Porfirio Diaz when he left Mexico. When he was settled in Los Angeles, Luis Terrazas visited him. All of their children have passed away. They were as follows:
Maria, Concepcion, Jose Maria, Juan Manuel, Frank, Carmen, Dolores, Miguel, Elisa, Jesus, Guadalupe, Luz, Consuelo.
