I found some additional information you might be interested. I found Candelario's immigration record and it states he was born in Monclova, Coahuila. I also found a couple of baptismal records for his children Petra Ortiz and Jose Inez Ortiz. They were baptized in San Buenaventura, Coahuila. San Buenaventura is about 13 miles north of Monclova. My father says that Candelario shared some farm land with his brothers in Guerrero, close to Piedras Negras. I have not been able to find some proof of him living in Guerrero yet.

Do you know where in West Texas your grandfather moved to? Just curious, I lived there for 10 years before moving to VA. I love that area.

My father says that Inez moved to Chicago. There is an interesting story behind as to why he moved, but not sure if it is true.
