PUEBLO NUEVO, GTO.

http://jbecheverri.blogspot.com/2013/01/busco-mi-abuelo-mate...

Hello Christopher. Thank You for the email response. Since my original post, I have either cleared up or muddied the waters on my Chagolla Line. Did research and found what I believe are the parents of and wife of Guadalupe. I found a marriage certificate for German and Manuela stating parents names, Guadalupe and Crus Lopes. This lead me to finding other birth certificates of the various siblings. The only thing keeping me from stating that in fact these truly is the right Chagolla line is that my Grandmother said there were five children. I found a bunch more. Maybe, those were the only five names that she could remember? Sadly, she passed away 11 years ago. She was going to be 100. Attached is are .jpgs showing findings. Who knows, we might still be related? If I can help, I'm here too. Regards, Jaime

Hello, I’m looking to see if anyone has any relatives that reside near Celaya, Gto. I’m looking for more information on my great grandfather Victoriano Espinoza or my great grandmother of maiden name Garcia. I don’t know where either of them were born, but I do know that my grandfather lived near Celaya in a town called Roque until he passed away. I believe his brothers/sisters live in surrounding towns also, but I have no information on them. If you have any information on either of my grandparents I’d greatly appreciate it.

Hola,

Hi. I was talking to my mom today and was talking to me about my grandfather. A story came up that my mother referred to as "el catrin." After telling me this story had made newspapers I decided to google the name under Leon Guanajuato. Your ancestry post was a result and when I asked my mom if she remembered the last name of "el catrin" she couldn't remember until I asked if it was morales... I am also a morales(no relation). I might have some very interesting information if you are still interested, or even check in on this. I don't know if your great grandfather happened to die in a gunfight. We might have a connection if so.

Raul,

Thanks for your reply!

I spoke with my grandmother who is my only link back to Andrea Mosqueda. She does remember and Julia Mosqueda from her childhood. My family is in Texas now and she said they would visit for the holidays and she remembers going to a Julia Mosqueda's house. Of course she was very old at this time. Would you mind giving me birth and death dates for Julia Mosqueda. This may help to determine if we are talking about the same person. Also, there is a large group of Mosqueda's in my home town and most of them trace to my GG Andrea. My grandma said they have a a lot of their family history recorded. my grandma said she would try to speak with them about a Julia Mosqueda.

Randy Pineda

You mentioned that your great great grandmother(Andrea Mosqueda) lived in Irapuato Gto. My great great grand father (Jose Antonio Jaime)also lived there. My G.G. grandfather had several sons. One son name Silvestre Jaime born in 1853 married years later Julia Mosqueda from Irapuato Gto. They had children a son whose name was Luis Jaime who then married Juana Hernandez in 1916. Can you tell me if thier is a Julia Mosqueda in your family tree?

Raul Jaime

Hi, Responding to you query. Over the last year or so I was able to find out more about my Chagolla line. The father of my 3X Great Grandfather Jose Guadalupe was Antonio Chagolla. He was married to Narcisa de los Santos Mosqueda. They had a least ten children. As for Jose Guadalupe's wife Maria Guadalupe. Her actual name was Maria Macedonia de la Crus Lopes. Her parents were Juan Jose Lopes and Maria de Jesus Zavala. They had a least five children. Sorry, no Chagoyan.
Then again, looking at previous birth/marriage certificates names have changed...Replace a Z with a S, G with a V or even completely remove a letter. Example: N. Good Luck.

My Mom was about 8 yrs, she told us they were 4 children a baby who died of influenza that was going around during that time. But my grandfather did work at the railroads i believe in TX's. Her name the R might have been Reyes. Very close, yet children weren't mentioned. I thank you , if so it might be. Lot of work. Thank you again.

I spoke to my wife, who was born at Rancho Cuchicuato, very near Irapuato. I'm not too clear on how the places are connected, but Cuchicuato is sort of a suburb of Irapuato.

She told me that certain family names are prominent in various Ranchos. The Mendoza name is common in Rancho La Sanaja and Gonzales is prominent in Rancho San Javier. All three ranchos are near each other and connected to Irapuato.

I did a quick search on ancestry.com and found a Juan Gonzales, age 25 in the 1920 US Census, living in Atacosa, TX with his wife Margarita R. Gonzales, age 18. They were both born in Mexico, entered the US in 1913, and were illiterate. Also in the home was Cecilia Ramos, age 8, listed as his sister-in-law.

That might or might not be your Juan and Margarita, but it should get you started.

I would suggest the baptism records for Irapuato. Also google & see what is around it, then compare it to what the LDS has microfilmed. i.e., Cueramarao, Romita, Pueblo Nuevo, Salamanca, I'm not familiar to the other directions.

Mine were from Cueramaro & Irapuato, but seemed to go back & forth. In Cueramaro it goes into more details of the little ranchitos in the area if someone was born there.

Marriage records usually give good info, although they will usually say from this area.

Good Luck

Irapuato, Guanajuato was the town & state she was born. this was a nickname I guess for the area she came from. All of my grandparents have passed. She has One cousin relative to her, but does not have no information, her parents have passed also. My grandparents entered the USA during the Mexican Revolution, 1917 around there. My Mothers name was Dionisia , Grandpa name was Juan Gonzales, Grandma's name was Margarita or Rita Mendoza. They had 4 children, when they left & came over here. Any memory , hope I can get information. Where can I get any information about them? Thank you. Name me places that kept records of births.

I've recently begun my search as well. So far , I know that my grandfather, Gaspar Raya's dad, Senon Raya was from Guanajuato, Mexico. He was a"full blooded Indian". (Sometime around 1900) his family migrated to Texas and ended up in Brawley, Ca in Imperial Valley.

I hear Senon Raya was from a town in Guanajuato called Penicuato, but I can't find this place on a map??

What's everyone's goal with searching for Raya roots?I'm searching for the generation that brought the name Raya from the continents east of the Atlantic ocean.

Jason David Raya
San Diego, Ca
