We Garcilazos are from Veracruz , in Puebla there is a bookstore Garcilazo, I and sisters were born in Xalapa , thera are Garcilazos in Mount Prospect Illinois, my sisters and many more with nices and etc .Our great grand father was from Barcelona, it is very rare to know some alse carries the Garcilazo's name we are very proud of it as you might be too, was glad to read your coments .

Mendoza family possibly from Michoacan

I'm looking for information on a Mendoza family that I think is from Michoacan. I'm not positive this is where they are from, but it's a strong possibility. The father of this family is Ramiro and his wife is Maria. Most likely they are dead, if not they are very old. Most of the children should be alive still. They had 7 sons. From what I can gather, Ramiro, Javier, and Antonio immigrated to the United States, Oregon specifically. The other brothers, Jesus, Roberto, Miguel, and Guillermo stayed in Mexico I believe. There were also 3 daughters, Theresa, Guadalupe, and Margareta, all of whom are in Mexico I believe. I am looking for information on any one of these people mentioned, it would mean a lot to me. Thank you!!

pues yo me imagino que todos los elizarraras somos parientes especialmente si la mata es de guanajuato. Ami me contaron que el apeido venia de espana pero no estoy muy segura. Mi papa se llamaba Jesus Elizarraras y mi abuelo se llama igual. Para ser mas exacta se apeidan Elizarraras Guerra y son de Guanajuato.

Hi my granfather name is Jesus Pimentel from villa Mendoza aka casa viejas or also called piers behead. It's actually a few miles from purepero mich. Alot of people actually born or live in villa Mendoza or near by places got register in purepero being that government offices were there and alot got register as being born there either cause of money or penaltys.

Hi I can tell you where Galeana Michoacán is. My parents are from there and I have family there! Galeana, Michoacán de Ocampo, México is located in the northern part of the state of Michoacán, bordering the state of Guanajuato. Galeana is in the municipality of Puruándiro, and is no more than 15-20 mins away from the larger town of Puruándiro, which is the cabecera municipal (equivalent to country seat in the US) of that same municipality. I was born in the town of Puruándiro.

Galeana is a very small town of maybe 2,000 or 3,000 inhabitants and is about 2 hours away from Morelia, the capital city of the state of Michoacán.

Iglesia Catholica should be in the Plaza of Galeana. It is not a very big town, and you can ask the people there, they are very friendly and open to strangers and helping them out.

My father's mom's maiden name is Luviano. My family comes from La Piedad de Cabadas, Michoacan. It's about an hour from La piedad. Most of my family goes back and forth from each city. Also both cities are an hour apart but fairly close. When did his family immigrate to the US?

Hi there! My family is also from Michoacan. Us kids grew up in East Chicago though after my dad (Luis) and his brothers Chava, Fernando and Vidal moved there in 1950's to work in steel mills. By the way, my uncles have surnames all different. ... Zendejas, Sendejas and Cendejas. I believe it has something to do with what was going on at the time they crossed the broader.
Would love to know more about the family. Looks like we all come from same area. I would bet we are related.
