I have found the link in these names and would so much like to find out the history and life of all these folks especially how and when they made it to Tabasco, Mexico. I am told they came from Northern Spain and would really like to know as much as I can.

My ggreat grandmother was Rita Gurria and my ggreat grandfather was Mariano Armengol Palavincini. I am a grandchild of Angel Armengol Gurria.

Thank you very much! You have been very kind and I truly appreciate you in helping me. I believe, also, that all the Armengol's on facebook that live in and around Teapa are descendants of my Armengol lineage. I am guessing, also, that your Ramon Armengol might be a great grandchild of Ramon Armengol, brother of my grandfather, Angel. :)

You responding to my inquiry has put the fire back in me to actively research the lineages and history of my maternal side. I have also sent out many requests for information inthe last couple of days. Hopefully, someone that has the history of our family will contact me.

May I ask you if you might ask Ramon if he would mind a few minutes of his time to chat with me via email. If there is any information he might know and willingly share with me about grandparents and great parents, etc. I would be so grateful. My email is 5zouleks@gmail.com

Father, Mariano and his two sons, Angel and Ramon.
Ramon was the mayor of Mazatlan in 1939. No information
other than death date for Angel.

Conoci de chica a mi tio Juan Carlos, Pancho que vivia en Tabasco, a mi tia Olga que vivia en la Cuiudad de Mexico DF, y a mi tia Maria que vivia en Tabasco. I am looking for information on the Calcanéo family in Tabasco. The earliest people I could find were Mariano Calcanéo, Martin Calcanéo and Miguel Calcanéo, all probably born around 1770. Any information on them or their parents/ancestors would be greatly appreciated. It seems that the name comes from the Italian name Calcagno, so I am wondering if they immigrated from Italy to Mexico. Thanks!

All of the lastnames sound very familiar! I wouldn't be able to tell you a lot about the family history since I didn't grow up there, but did go to highschool there (there's only one highschool) and got to meet a lot of people. I came back to the states about 10 years ago. I have a facebook friend, his name is Ramon Armengol, he is about 27 years old and i wouldn't be surprised if he is related to you. It's such a small town that if two people have the same lastname, chances are they are related. Here's the link to his FB. Maybe he can give you more info. I also knew a lot of people with the lastname Gurria but don't really have their info anymore... My ex bf from highschool had that lastname too but i don't have his email or any other info anymore.

Oh! I just read your other tread! I also know a lot of Gurria family in Teapa Tabasco! It is such a little town, everyone knows eachother and Armengol and Gurria are 2 big families there. This is such a coincidence, my HS boyfriend's name was Eduardo Gurria. He has a lot of family there in Teapa. I can also get you in touch with them. He actually speaks a little bit of English.

Hi, I am not related to the Armengol family, but I did live in Teapa Tabasco for a long time, went to high school there and there's a lot of people with that last name, I went to school with Ramon Armengol and Erica Armengol which I'm assuming are great grand kids to the Ramon Armengol you are talking about. They still own some land there. I hope this info helps you, I might be able to get you in touch with some people in the Armengol family through Facebook I just don't know if they speak English. Me gustaría mucho saber los orígenes de mi tatarabuelo y tatarabuela ya que lo único que se de el y no con seguridad, es que perteneció al ejercito confederado del sur quien peleaba contra los Yankees y que cuando terminó la guerra se instalo en el estado de Tabasco. También tengo entendido que fue el fundador del pueblo de San Pedro y no me queda claro si nació en Irlanda o en los Estados Unido. La realidad es que: ¿me gustaría saber mucho más y saber si existe un árbol genealógico?

Greene, vivo en el D.F. y estoy intentando recopilar los datos que he podido reunir sobre la familia (tengo viejas fotografías, apuntes del tio Pedro, Ruben y Gustavo y documentos del abuelo Pedro)pero se que hay información que está en Cárdenas, Tabasco, y que me gustaría saber, si pudieras ayudarme con eso... por ejemplo, las fechas de las tumbas de John Thomas,sus hijos Alejandro y Juan, y Carlos (creo que de este último sus restos los llevaron, o a Villahermosa o al monumento que le levantaron... es verdad?), que se bien se encuentran en Cárdenas.
Y hay otros detalles que, en caso reciba respuesta tuya te haré saber. Y por supuesto, que compartiré contigo la información que hasta ahora poseo.

Ha sido una gran sorpresa encontrar tantas preguntas sobre mi familia pero quiero aprovechar para aclarar, no se cuales sean las intenciones de cada uno.

Greene Ramírez una gran e ilustre familia que es construida en Tabasco, México.

No existe tal tesoro, ni finca San Pedro como algunos saben esto se perdió hace muchos años y quienes lleven de verdad sangre de esta gran familia saben los detalles.

Tengan precaución con la información que publican, existen personas que llevan el apellido Greene pero no son de la familia, recuerden que antes no había tanto control en cuanto al registro de nombres y muchas personas aprovecharon y han utilizado este apellido.

He leído todos los mensajes que han escrito en este blog y veo que hay personas que conocen bien y estan en su derecho de saber sobre su árbol genealógico.

Yasmin... Don Juan (John Thomas Greene) married ‘Doña’ (a respectful way to say ‘Señora’) Catalina Ramírez, and they had four sons and three daughters. They were: Pedro (the first born), Catalina, Carmela, María, Carlos, Alejandro and Juan, the youngest one.
I belong to the family raised by Dr. Pedro L. Greene... some of their children grow up in Mexico city,a couple of them in Tabasco, one in Baja California and another one, Pedro, migrated to New York.
About the women who married the sons, I just have the name of the lady who married Carlos Greene… miss Virginia Perales. They got marry in September 29, 1919, in Mexico city. The invitations were signed by Juan Greene Ramírez and the witnesses were: Pedro Casanova Casao (his particular secretary) and Alberto M. González. As you know, Carlos and Alejandro were killed in 1924… about his family, from what my father (Gustavo Greene)told me at least he had a daughter. Related with Alejandro’s family, as in the other brother, Juan, I don’t know nothing… any information from you?

I may not be much of help..My Father was from Havana/Santiago de cuba his sir names are garcia morett his mothers name was evarista not sure of his father's name he did have a brother named jose garcia morett who possibly resided in Mexico...Very difficult when you don't have much to go on...I do not believe that he is related to surname tobasco.

Not really sure where to put this message. Hoping it doesn't take years to be answered! My great grandmother was Francesca Zacchini Cantelli. Growing up I was told that her family was in the circus. It sounded like it was her uncle and cousins who were a part of it, not her or her siblings. I just wanted to know if anyone has a family tree on here with the Zacchini's included. There isn't much help on this site for me to figure out how her dad Luigi fits in with the Zacchini family. That side of my tree starts with him. I was told it should be easy to get information on immigrants but it really isn't!

Don Antonio Palavicini llego de italia a campeche aprox en 1770, se caso con Doña Maria de la Luz Corruela Romero y se trasladaron a vivir a teapa tabasco. Me interesa datos que tengas de tu familia, yo tambien soy desendiente de el.

Hola!.. yo tambien soy de Argentina.. nací en Olavarria, Pcia. de Buenos Aires y la verdad que no tengo rastro de nadie de mi familia mas alla de mi abuelo.. que se que eran muchos hermanos pero se la familia se separo un poco cuando algunos (creo que dos) murieron en un accidente de transito, por lo que se, tengo primos en Bahia Blanca y en Laprida. Estoy buscando toda la información relacionada con mi familia; la gran mayoría de los Palavicini viven en Tabasco, México aunque hay algunos otros en Veracruz, Morelos, D.F., Querétaro, etc.

Evaristo Palavicini y Francisca Sala son los parientes directos más antiguos que tengo, pero creo que el primer Palavicini Italiano llegó a México en el Siglo XVII.

Cualquier información me sería de gran ayuda.

Segun mi lejano pariente Javier Rosique, su antepasado Primitivo Rosique llego a Tabasco dejando un hermano en Cuba y uno en Pensacola. Tiene ud. datos de los origenes de Primitivo Rosique ?

El Rosique mas remotamente documentado en Tabasco, Mexico fué Ramón Rosique en Mayo 6, 1833. Era ciudadano español.
