I think I may have come across information for you:

Jose Agustin Mota married Ana de Santiago Carlos on Nov 19, 1788 in Momax, Zacatecas. Had several children, including Ma. Casilda Mota Carlos christened on Apr 9, 1791 in Momax, Zacatecas.

Jose Agustin Mota was christened on Oct 16, 1763 as Josseph Augustin Mota Torres in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas. His parents, Juan Andres de Mota (Campos) and Maria Polonia de Torres (Robles) were married on May 12, 1755 in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas. They had serveral other children.

Ana de Santiago Carlos parents Josseph Antonio Carlos de Godoy and Antonia Getrudis Raygoza were married on Apr 29, 1767 in Tlaltenango, Zacatecas. They had serveral other children.

I saw your message on the zacatecas/Mota message board and had to reply. Hope you get this. My fathers' family is from that area, and the names in his family are Alvarez, Campos, Mota, Robles. I am in particular looking for an Alvarez connection. My grandfather was Melesio Alvarez. He married Sara Campos Mota in 1914 or 1915. They had one child, my father, Salvador Alvarez Campos. Melesio died in 1915 as a very young man. Later Grandmother Sara married Valintin Robles. Do any of these names sound familiar. Please reply. Thanks.

Sorry, but I don't have any information on the names you are looking for. I don't have any information on Alvarez or Mota names. And my information on Campos and Robles names is based on people born long before 1850. Good luck on your search.

Hi. I'm searching for my husband's family roots. The surname is Miramontes and his dad (Alfredo Miramontes) and grandfather (Aureliano Miramontes) were from Los Reales, Zacatecas which I understand is near Momax. Do you happen to have any links to this particular part of the Miramontes family? Any information that you may have would be greatly appreciated. We're trying to put together a family tree for our children and have very little information on the Miramontes family. Thanks in advance for any information you may have.

Sorry I don't have any information on Aureliano Miramontes. If you ever find out the name of his wife or his parents, let me know, and I can re-look the names up in my family tree. Thanks for the quick response. I do have the name of Aureliano's wife, but as of right now, I do not know who his parents are. His wife's name was Victoria Magallanes. I don't know much as of yet but as you can see my last name is Alvarez. Alvarez Campos actually from my Dad's side and Mota Miramontes from my Mom's side. Both of my parents are from Momax. I would think between the two of them they might be able to help you. Please let me know asap if you still need the info.
