Back to John Lennon who came to US in 1921 with daughter Annie Ayre, unable to find them in the 1930 US Census, returned to Scotland ? It appears that the ship manifests only cover arriving passengers.

John and Annie going to James Lennon, 6 Maiden Ave, said Washington, DC but it meant Washington, Pennsylvania, intent to make residence permanent. Across John's record, hand written, says Dr. memo "hold general" may have had something to do with his eye being sore or an infection. They had tickets for final destination of Pittsburg PA. They had not been to US prior to this arrival.
20 Oct 1913
James "Lemon", Scotch, age 17yrs, last place of residence: Motherwell, Scotland, arrived Port of New York on the California from Glasgow, line # 30, was going to friends William McCall, 8 Maiden Ave, Washington PA near Pittsburg PA, had Scottish thistle? tatoo on right arm and $25.00.
I do not understand the notation of being born in Hamilton, Bermuda nor how Wm McCall may have been related.

When Elizabeth Lennon arrived 31 Mar 1914 from Glasgow she was going to uncle? Thos. or Thes.
Callaghen ? or Gallagher as previous noted, 158 West Chestnut Street in Washington, PA. Record says she had $50.00, was 5' 4" tall, fair complexion, brown hair grey eyes.
I could not find a Thomas Gallagher or Callaghen from Ireland or Scotland in Washington County PA census records and may not have been counted. I think his name was Thomas Callahan and lived in Allegheny Co, PA. A daughter Agnes Callahan was found in Washington PA in 1910.
On the same passage with Elizabeth Lennon was an Agnes McCall born abt 1874 Scotland and son John McCall born 21 Mar 1899 in Scotland. The record says her husband was a US citizen, she and John were returning to 138 West Chestnut Street in Washington, PennsyIvania.
Were Elizabeth Lennon and Agnes McCall actually going to the same address on West Chestnut ?
Agnes and John McCall are listed in the 1910 US census in Washington Ward 2, Washington Co, PA census, Agnes had been married 14 years, was still married, John her only living child of two.
Marie Callahan, listed as niece of Agnes, born PA abt 1890, father from Ireland and mother Scotland living with Agnes. This record says father of John McCall also from Scotland. The record says Agnes was married in 1910. Was "Marie's" father the uncle that Elizabeth Lennon was going to meet in Washington, PA. Agnes and John arrived in US in 1900 per census of 1910 and lived on Spruce Alley in 1910.
USS Astoria, departed Glasgow, 28 June 1900 arrived port of NY, 09 July 1900, Mrs. Agnes McCall age 26, born Motherwell Scotland, son McCall age listed 1, born Motherwell Scotland, destination Pitts. PA to meet husband, not named, address Sturgeon? Post Office, Pitts. PA. Pittsburgh is in Allegheny county.
1914 was the third arrival for Agnes and son John from Glasgow, the second time was the 30th of April 1907 on the Columbia.
Agnes and son John are not listed in the 1920 and 1930 census in Washington, PA. John McCall registered for W W I Draft in Washington Co PA born 21 March 1899 and William Frank McCall born 5 Jan 1883.
Was Agnes McCall's husband related to William McCall or was he another William McCall ?
