You can search the Ellis Island web site for free, only need to register. There is a John Lennon 49, arrived 8/16/1921, with a daughter Susan Ayre 21, both going to John's son James. James' address is given as 6 Maiden Ave in Washinton, DC, yet in another column, it is noted as Pennsylvania (PA). John is coming from his wife Susan, and daughter Susan is coming from her husband John Francis Ayre. There is a notation by John Lennon that he has a sore eye. Another manifest for Elizabeth Lennon, arrived 3/31/1914, coming from her dad in Motherwell, John Lennon, going to Washington PA, it appears she is going to an uncle (hard to read), Thomas Gallagher. Not sure if this is your family. There are other ports they could have arrived at, but I don't have access to those records.
