Well, it is a possible name variation. But there is nothing to confirm it`s him. The name does not show up in the 1901 census of the territory.
I see the date given was 1889, which was late in getting there. The gold rush ended the next year in 1899.
More on Ogilvie: It was a trading post on an island at the mouth of the Sixtymile River established in 1893 by a man named Joe Ladue.
