My gggrandfather(sometimes listed as Aaron) Andrew W.Elmer was born in New York in 1827.I can not find out anything about his parents or siblings.He died in 1865.His wife was Mary Elizabeth Freshwater Elmer born 1828 new bern n.c. she died in 1863.They left 5 children 2 boys and 3 girls. The 3 girls disapeared ,I think they may have gone on the Orphan trains,because Charles wound up out west on a farm at age 14 listed as a boarder. My ggrandfater George Washington Elmer left on his own to Japan at the age of 14.came back to America at age of 40.He was a minister all through New England.
can anyone out there help me with info.on the girls or A.W.'s parents or siblings?
