William Harris born; 1800's Texas or maybe Georgis
I,m trying to find out if there were any slaves that lived on the Harris plantation, that may have obtained their last name from the plantation owner.I was told that my Great-great grandmother was from Georgia,but I'm not sure from what city. I was told that my great-great grandfather was from Texas. But I sometime wonder if he may have been from Georgia also.My grandfather Willie Harris was born in Jasper,Texas in 1862/1869.I don't know much about his parents except that his father's name was William Harris
