I believe Eugenia Branson was my great, great grandma. She was called Mama (Jennie) Ivy & John Wesley was called Papa Ivy.Their first child was my great granddaddy, Robert Monroe Ivy. But the county is Smith County not Scott. They moved from Choctaw County AL and moved to the Taylorsville area before moving to a community call Heater Ridge outside of Raleigh, MS. John's Father and Mother was William Henry Ivy and Debra Ann (Sims) Ivy. I havent figured out why I'm seeing William Henry Meeks Ivy, was meeks just part of his name also?

Clarke County Historical Museum Quarterly

I am searching for past issues of the Quarterly, published by the Clark County Historical Museum. I was told that obtaining past issues cost approximately $10.00 a peice. I have found articles that would assist me in my research, but in 17 different back issues. Are there any organizations that may have back issues of the Quartery where I could get copies of the articles needed for a minimal fee.

My great aunt Kathleen Evington Stutts inherited the Choctaw County part of Oakchia and my Grandmother, Coralie Evington Eddins inherited the part of Oakchia in Marengo County in Myrtlewood. There are Indian mounds on the Marengo side & we found arrow heads and pottery. If Gertrude Parker doesn't find out anything the only other person I can think of is Mrs. Margaret Carter here in Demopolis. She lived in Myrtlewood and was the postmistress. She's 90 something.
Kat.

I really have nothing on the Choctaw Tribe. My great grandmother was said to have been of that tribe by a much older cousin who has now passed away. So nothing provable. None of the others have said anything my age doesn't know anything according to them.

The Price information I have has been proven and I did find the cemetery where Redic LeBell family is buried just South of ElDorado AR. I infact have a small piece of royalty in that vicinity. There used to be an oil field there also.

Sorry no proven Choctaw lineage. Margaret

Yes I think so . Spicey (Price) I think is buried just up one row from my 2 great grandmother and John Thomas Goodwin His 2nd wife is buried there next to them. All these years I have searched for information on Spicey and no success. I paid to have Spiceys' tombstone reapaired back in the late 90s'. It was upright and now it is broken again. The man who repaired it said that those back in early years weren't put far enough in the ground.Looking forward to sharing information with you. The cemetery is Shady Grove just out of Haynesville town limits. Margaret

story goes that Price family found two young girls alone on the trail and took them in. one was Mary Elizabeth and the other Martha Berry. My Choctaw friend says it is next to impossible to get anything from OK. & the dawes roll, said if I went I needed to take everything with me & then not guaranted any results. I didn't search any further. Mary Elizabeth Price Goodwin is buried at Shady Grove Cemetery out from Haynesville Claiborne Par. LA. Good luck in your search Margaret

Hello! yes, Reddick died while living in Oklahoma, then his and Marthas son redick brought her back to Arkansas because they didnt want her buried on the reservation. He does have a headstone with her. I havent been able to find out yet exactly where he is in Ok, but both of his parents were living and died and buried there. gets me, there are at least 300 price names on the Dawes rolls and I dont know how to match to any of them! so far still trying. have you had any luck? I am just not very good yet with how to look. is your Mary Elizabeth, Reddicks sister? I did see where she is supposed to be half blood.
Yes I was seearching for Redick LeBell Price trying to connect my great great grandmother Mary Elizabeth Price. I found a cemetery that has a headstone for him but story goes he died in OK. and was buried up there. 2nd great grandmother was supposed to be half blood Chrerokee. Somehow the name of Martha Berry got connected to them also. I do have a copy hand written with Marys' date up birth along with the Price family Bible.

I've heard many many stories about "aunt dolly" fr my grandmother Lometa (a/k/a Julia on her birth certificate) who is DJ's daughter. Aunt Dolly was a fortune teller and a psychic in the family.
