George P. Weekley Descendants - Where is the best research?

Surnames: Weekley Dunn Milton McDonald McDowell Weeks Smith
Has anyone done a jam up job [with cited objective sources] on the descendants of George P. Weekley and Margaret Dunn in EARLY EARLY south Alabama?? Who is the Weekley genealogy guru for those Weekley's?

I am paticularly interested in the following 2 women from the 1992 book "Marriage Records of Baldwin Co., AL 1800-1900" compiled & edited by Dess L. Sangster and Tom Sangster:

Weekley, Madam Margaret - Milton, Andrew 23 Dec 1819
Weekley, Madam Sarah - McDonald, John 15 Feb 1819

Does "Madam" mean that they were Weekley's by a previous marriage? Does anyone know anything further about these 2 women and their descendants? I see posted trees with George P. Weekley having 2 daughters named Margaret & Sarah whose posted ages could work for these 2 marriages(?)

Also, might John McDonald be John McDowell??? John D. McDowell b 1812=1817 SC m 8 Jul 1849 in Baldwin Co., AL to Mrs. Margaret Smith. John's oldest 2 children=twins Alex G. & Susan McDowell appear to have been b before 1849 and may have had a different mother(?)

and FINALLY, if anyone knows who the 1st 2 husbands were for Mrs. Margaret Smith McDowell
(1) father of Jane Weeks b abt 1838 GA &
(2) father of Ben H. J. Smith b abt 1844 AL
that would be icing on the cake!!

Appreciatively,
Sally Randol-Hardy
