Wold like information on William Shadrach Bogan and his family of Cedar Bluff, Cherokee County, Alabama.There are several of them buried in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. I would like information on my greatgrand father George Washington Bogan and his son Zachariah Laney Bogan,my grand father. My father Elmer Richard Bogan was also born in Cedar Bluff 4/15/1895.

Saw your query on the Cherokee Co. page. I am researching the family of Samuel B. and Sarah C. Echols. Their youngest daughter, Lucinda, married G. W. Bogan and had 3 sons, William D., Zack, and George. She died young @1874 and is buried at Cedar Bluff. I have been researching the Echols heavily this past year. Hope to hear from you.

WE ARE OUT OF FORSYTH CO NEXT TO CHEROKEE CO. JOSEPH DELBERT ECHOLS' FATHER WAS PERENO ECHOLS. MY DADDY ALWAYS SAID WE WERE ALL KIN CAUSE THEY WOULDN'T HAVE MADE MORE THAN ONE BUNCH OF ECHOLS. If your Echols were from north GA, they probably tie into mine, especially if they have anything to do with Cherokee Co. AL. However, you don't go far enough back for me to get any clues where you might fit in. Can you give any dates on Joseph Delbert Echols or any clue as to who his parents might be? Where did he live? I need more to go on.

I have a Echols line From HABERSHAM COUNTY,Georgia.
Elijah,Clark,Echols who married Martha,Jane,Mattie,Murphy
Elijah is son to Darius,Echols
The line goes back to a John,Echols.
From the 1830's Henry and Dale county's Alabama.
They settled in the Lorena area south of Waco,Texas.
McLennan county,Texas and ended up in Olustee,Jackson Countynty,Olustee,Oklahoma.
