Randall,

I am just checking back with you. I posted a reply last year and, I cannot recall if I heard from you.

I am tracing a line of Trammel(l)s that were in the Haralson & Floyd County areas from 1880 to present. I am checking in Alabama, just in case some of my folks migrated there and that my be the reason I have hit A BRICK WALL. lol

Have you progressed in your search? I have located Charlie (Jack) Trammells mother, a Nola Cole.

Please, just post a response so I know that I have exhausted all avenues in this direction.

Thanks a lot.

Jo Trammell

I was wondering if these Barkleys are kin to a James A. Barclay/Barkely who was in Cherokee Ala with wife Sarah.
I have children William Homer, Alfred B. Sarah M. and Docia.

James A. is a brother to my gggrandfather. They were living in Murray Co Ga. Have info on several families and will be glad to share what I have. E-mail me direct at Mo1876@cs.com LaDonna Latham

Would you have any info on Wm. Ball or Ruth Gray from Murray County Ga. ? Was there a settlement of Cherokees there?

Sorry I am not familiar with either of the names. But my Barklys/Barclays were in Murray Co Ga. They came from Polk Co NC to Murray Co. about 1850-51. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. LaDonna
