Have located my African-American, Lula "Zinnerman" in many census' since 1900. I believe the father of her 3 sons was a Charlie Trammell; son of a
Nola Cole. They were counted in the 1910 census of
Haralson County,
Georgia approximately 3 families away from my great-grandmother. Is it coincidence that she carried the surname of
Trammell from 1911 on? Could my Trammells have originated in
Cherokee County,
Alabama?
Charlie was later located in a 1920 census at age 35, married to Mary; they still lived in
Haralson County. Oral family history says he died in the Stone Mountain area in the late 1950's.
