I am trying to find information on WILEY FLOYD and HETTIE
MOONEY FLOYD. They were married June 15, 1829 in Montgomery
Co., Al. and are found in the 1830 Montgomery Co., 1840
Covington Co., 1850 Pike Co. and 1860 Coffee Co. censuses.
I don't know if they moved around that much or that is the
way the counties were formed. They were the parents of at
least 7 children: Mary (Polly), Charles (Charlie), Nancy,
William (Bill), Ruben (Rube), James (Jim and Calvin. I have
extensive information on Calvin's family. Mary (Polly) is
buried beside her mother in Zoar Cemetary. She had at least
one son, Bill, who had at least one son, John, who was a
Church of God minister and was born July 13, 1893. Wiley
was not found in the household in the 1850 or in the 1860 census but was in the household of Solomon Hayes as a blacksmith in the 1850 Pike Co. census. Hettie's tombstone
states she was 130 years old at her death May 30, 1900.
However, judging from the birthdates of her children there
are doubts as to that. I would be happy to share the
information I have on Calvin's family (it is intertwined with the Rushing family) and I would like to learn more
about the other children of Wiley and Hettie and does any
one have more on Hettie and Wiley's ancestry? Where they
were from, etc. Thanks for any help. Carolyn Floyd
