I am looking for any information about the wife of Eugene Howard PURSLEY.

Eugene was a PFC in the US Army in 1941 when he died in a car crash in Sheffield, AL. On his death certificate (which I have), he is listed as "Married", and his surviving spouse is given as "Sarah PURSLEY, age 16". Given their ages, Eugene could not have been married long. In fact, according to my grandmother, no one in the family knew he was married until he died.

According to an article about the crash in the Sheffield paper, Eugene was attached to the air base at Selma, so I am hoping his marriage was in that area. It seems likely to me that his young widow would have remarried (although that's pure speculation). Does anyone know anything about Sarah? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
