Looking for info and/or descendants of MEREDITH PRICE who appears in Lauderdale County, Mississippi between 1840 and 1860. He and family appear to have come to Lauderdale County after move from Tennessee into Alabama (possibly Jackson County). From census records, he appears to have been twice married. First wife's name is unknown, but children's names/births are noted: James M. - ~1828 TN/AL, Elizabeth - ~1831 TN, Nancy - ~9/1834 AL/TN, Martha Elizabeth - ~1836 AL, and Mary A. - ~2/1838 AL/MS. His second wife is noted as Mary A. with children: John M. - ~1841 MS and Rebecca - ~1845 MS.

This Meredith PRICE could have come to Lauderdale County, Mississippi from Jackson County, Alabama. However, it is very difficult to sort through the many/various PRICE families in Jackson County, Alabama in the early 1800's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If a male descendant could be found and willing to participate in the ongoing PRICE DNA project, that would help much in working with this family line.
