My great granduncle Alfred Byington WALTON (son of John Fletcher and Lucinda ERWIN WALTON) married Miranda CARTER in Jackson County, AL, on 14 January 1874. He is enumerated as A.B. WATTON (misspelling) on the 1880 Federal census of that county. His wife is enumerated as Maranda (another mispelling) and they have two children: Louisa E. (age 4) and John W. (age 2) living with them.
Alfred and other family members, including his father migrated from Jackson County to Grapevine, Tarrant County, Texas between 1882 and 1884. However, he married Jessee SHAW WALTON in Tarrant County, TX on 08 Nov 1889. I cannot locate his first family. They may have died in Jackson County or possibly after the family migrated to Texas.
