Hello;
Found your inquiry posted in Rootsweb. I am hoping that this message reaches you as your post was in 2003. While this may be a long shot, I am wondering if your Peter Stewart may be a part of my line. Was his mother Catherine McCartney b.1826 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland? Father also named Peter, b.1825? Children: William b. 1849; Peter b. 1851, Marion b. 1853, Martha b. 1855, James b. 1857, Andrew b. 1859, Catherine b. 1861, John b. 1864. Hoping you have more info., as my current interest is in locating history regarding John, who immigrated some time prior to 1889, was married to Agnes Barbour, had 3 children: Peter, George, and Agnes. The children were orphaned in 1899, and Marion (Stewart) Brodie, John's sister, raised the children. I'm looking for information regarding the death of the children's parents, but have yet to find any. Any info would be appreciated if this is your line.
Thanks
