I still haven't identified all of the relationships, but Benjamin F Harris and Ashley B Harris were brothers according to a probate record that I saw abstracted on the Pitt or Anson County web site a few years ago. They were the sons of Richard W and Susan Harris of North Carolina.
As for Allen, I've seen message on various boards that claim he was the son of Daniel Harris but I've not seen any of proof yet. Daniel Harris was a veteran of The War of 1812 who was married to Susan (maiden name unknown.)I have the bounty land file that proves Daniel's marriage to Susan. I'm trying to identify their children -although I've also wondered whether Susan may have been his second wife. The children : most likely Robert T. Harris, and the children listed with Susan Harris in 1850.
