Yes I do have a William Hutton, but I have not found a lot
of details as you can see. I have included the info I have
on the Hutton line. I would appreciate any info or help
you might have. I found the copy of the newspaper clip
below, in some of my parents old pictures. Sorry this is
so long, but I thought the additional info might help.
V.A. Townsley at the end of this note was my Father.
Thanks,

Rex Townsley

Two Deaths in a Well
On last Saturday evening Hiram Hutton and his son, who had been hired by the citizens of Maysville* to dig a public town well, descended into the well, and being struck by the damp air, came out as quick as he could, and took a drink of whiskey which had a tendency to restore him. The son then descended, and being struck by the damp air as his Father had been was unable to return. The Father went down immediately to his assistance, got hold of him, and was being drawn up by the people, holding on to the rope and also his son. Just before reaching the top, his hold gave way, and both were precipilated to the bottom of the well, a distance of thirty-five feet. The fall killed them instantly, breaking their necks and backs. The bodies were fished out with grabs. What makes this a peculiarly sad case, a large and helpless family is left destitute-seven girls with no means of support. It is hoped that the good people of Maysville and vicinity will render the destitute family all necessary aid.

*Notes: Maysville is in Madison Co., AL and an old description was Gurley Pike, west of New Hope "Big M Subdivision".
This is a transcription from a copy of the actual newspaper article I found in my parents files.
