I have come across some old photographs in my mothers things
that were taken around 1872-73 and stamped on the back is C. Barnes No. 8 Dauphin St. Mobile, Ala. I believe the C. stands for Chauncey Barnes.

The other one is stamped what looks like Harry E. Wallace also Dauphin St Mobile, Aa.

I was wondering if anyone knows if any of the negatives were saved from these studios and who are holding them and can they be researched and photos made from them and can they be purchased?
