Thank you for trying. Her parents were John Neely, son of a Scotsman and a Yorkshire woman (born about 1819 in Cincinnati, OH) and Francis Hernandez ( a free woman of Color born about 1823 in Alabama or Louisiana). The children were considered Creole so they often were listed as black, white, mulatto or creole, depending on the census taker.
The Lizzie Porro you have listed is actually her sister Elizabeth Ann "Lizzie" Pons, wife of Henry S. Pons and in 1910 she is living with them. She is not listed as living with Lizzie and Henry in 1920 so I am thinking she has died by then. Lizzie and Henry are deceased before the 1930 census.
I do not think she would have gone to Texas as she had no family there until after the turn of the century, but anything is possible. In 1900 she is in Mobile listed as Kate Neely born 1849 in Ohio.
I would like to know more about her husband, John Wesley Tanner, but it is quite possible that they separated rather than him dying. I just do not know and would like to.
Thank you again.
