Not sure how much I can help. I do show a former posting on Elijah Billings who m. Mary Lake 1/23/1831 in Vermillion Co., IL dau Cynthia Ann (Williams) b 6-116-1838, IL

Elijah also found in Roane Co., TN on 3/10/1820 not sure if connected. He purchased 240 acres in Raccoon Valley of White Oak from Moses Looney which he may have purchased on installments and paid in 1823 by receipt of $10.00. There are several Billings buried there @ Blue Spring Cem off 72 East from 58, then S on 322 3 miles. Most markers are dated later in 1800's.

On 3/18/1822 Elijah Billings filed warrant for breach of peace against Nathaniel Duncan & James G & John Allen in Pittsyvania Co., VA.

I have also checked the White / Dekalb TN families for Elijah but none found. I have no Elijah or Mary Lake in my lines.
