Too many surnames to list for Pike County! Which McLeod's are you researching? I think the Pike County McLeods are all connected but haven't been able to do that as yet. My lineage begins, I believe, with Angus McLeod b. about 1787 in Scotland. He m. someone named *Christian* surname unknown. Angus and Christian appear on the 1850 Pike County census ages respectively 63 and 61. In their household are: Floria McLeod age 22; Christian McLeod age 20; Neil McLeod age 2. I have no positive proof as yet that Angus is the father of my Bryant McLeod (possibly William Bryant McLeod) b. in NC who m. on 29 Oct 1840 in Pike County, AL to Mary Etta DAVIS.
