According to my records John W. King (b. Dec. 9, 1827 Pike Co. AL d. Oct. 14, 1904 Ariton, AL) married Sarah Shiver (b. ca 1837 Barbour Co. AL d. ca 1909 Ariton, AL). They married March 31, 1853 in Barbour Co. AL. She was the daughter of Jack B. Shiver. John W. King was the son of Gary King (b. Sept. 18, 1801 NC d. Jan.28, 1844 Barbour Co. AL) and Winifred Mary Minshew (b. June 22, 1809 d.Oct. 25, 1895 Pike Co. AL)
His brother Gabriel Norman King married Mary B. Spurlock daughter of Jacob Spurlock Sr.
I have more info on this family. I am interested in what you have on Beasley. I am looking for 2 sisters (Father maybe James Beasley) Barbara and Betsy Beasley who were supposed to both had married Wilson Collins (b.June 9, 1787 Franklin Co. NC d. Dec. 1, 1875 Barbour Co. AL) I am trying to get info very fast as I am writting for the Barbour Co. AL Heritage Book and the story is due May 31,2000. I don't know if this info is true and I really want to get it right.
Wilson was also married to Elizabeth Early (daughter of Jesse Early) I need to know who was the mother to his children. As you can see I am running out of time. Wilson Collins daughter Martha C. Collins married Giles C. Efford. As you can see we share alot of the same surnames.
