Bill--hi my mane is Sandra K. (Lackey) Shaner--after reading your e-mail concerning your William Lackey, I have a 1880 Census showing a William Lackey mother Sarah Lackey, but also shows a Herny Lackey, this census show Denard Lackey who is my ggfather, my grandfather was James Ollie Lackey is son and he married a Odessa Mcgrork, they had 1 child Doveard Lester Lackey my father-- I do not know if we are connected, but I come to Alabama at least 2 times a year to see family that I have found after some 40 years and have vist Tallassee Elmore County trying to find any info that I can--since I was told that this area is where most of the Lackey's settled I know that my ggrandmother is buried in that county, Mollie Lackey she married Denard Lackey who was William ans Henry's brother.
I do not have a lot of info but am always searching, if you feel that we are connected and would like to talk to me I would love to hear from you and even visit with you and share what I have shich at this time is not a lot. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Also I am planning a visit to Alabama around the first part of Oct. This is very inportant to me to find any and all info that I might after so many years.
