What information do you have on William T Elliott. I have been looking for any information I can get on this name out of Illinois. I think he could be part of my family. My great grandfather died in the civil war my great grandmother remarried and left MY grandfather Thomas Wiley Elliott with his grandfather and uncle Bill. I don't know much about my family they came here from germany A father and 7 sons during the civil war 4 fought for the south and 4 for the north thus splitting the family up I asume that my great grandfather and His uncle Bill and their father were fighting on the same side. Being from Illinois there is no telling which side that was probably the south. My grandfather's first wife was Dora Dugan also from Illinois
