William H. Stephenson married Salina C. Browning on July 8, 1849 in Antioch Baptist Church in Chambers County. In about 1852 they moved and settled near Dadeville in Tallapoosa County where they raised 7 children. William was in the 24th Alabama Infantry in the Civil War and was wounded in the battle of Atlanta in July of 1864. He died in Feb. of 1910 in Dadeville and is buried in the Bethel Cemetery, but I have never found him there. His wife Salina died earlier but don't have any data on her death or burial site.
