I am searching for any information for John f. Horton or his descendants. He was in Montgomery co. AL in 1850. He filed land patents in Montgomery in 1860 for land in Tallapoosa-Elmore. A John Horton is in Tallapoosa co in 1860 census. John F. Horton is in Elmore co in 1870. I believe this may be the father of my gr gr grandfather, David L. Horton who died in TX between 1875-1880.
