Hello Susan
There are many Carlough's from this area.
Jose was part of the reburial in the Seldovia cemetery after the 1964 earthquake that demolished the original Russian Orthodox graveyard.(records are sketchy)
Robert N Sr. is listed on the Homer Seafarers' Memorial and the Seldovia Cemetery as being killed in a Hatchery Skiff 15 Nov 1941-14Jul 1993
Bill Carlough is listed in the 1983 Seldovia cemetery listing as buried in Plot# 187 in 1956 according to city records.
Joseph S Jr "Little Joe" Obit 29 Sep 2000 also on the Seafarers' Memorial as a sponsored brick-inscripton: "From your Kasilof Friends"
Minnie carlough lived in Kodiak - died 5 Oct 1977 she was born Afognak Island and is listed in End Of The Trail - Alaska Magazine January 1978 (I will try to find this at our library)
Portlock/Port Chatham is listed as a ghost town at this web site: http://www.ghosttownsandmines.com/ghost-towns-by-state/41-al...
I am mailing several articles from Alaska newspapers that mention the Carlough name.
